In August, I had the incredible opportunity to explore the enchanting island of Staffa, nestled in the inner Hebrides of Scotland. During my visit, I found myself captivated by the mesmerising hexagonal columns at the Giant's Causeway. What's even more fascinating is that these remarkable geological formations aren't limited to hexagons; I also spotted quadrilaterals, pentagons, heptagons, and octagons among them. These mathematical wonders were created by the flow of balstical Lava which cooled as it ran into the sea creating the shapes we see today. It's truly an amazing experience to witness mathematics in the very fabric of our natural world.
