Yesterday was World Wildlife Conservation Day! Today is a special occasion to shed light on the vital work being carried out to protect our precious wildlife. Can you believe that since the dawn of the 20th century, we've sadly seen a 95% decline in the global tiger population, leaving just 3,900 majestic creatures? Using a little math magic, we can reverse these percentages, revealing that a mere 5% of the population from the early 1900s remains today. So, 5% equals 3,900, and by multiplying both sides by 20, we discover that the world once roared with a thriving 78,000 tigers!
If you're eager to learn more about wildlife conservation or want to explore ways you can make a difference, don't hesitate to check out the WWF website for valuable information and opportunities to get involved. Together, we can protect and preserve our magnificent wildlife.
